My name is Qiuyu Chen and I am currently working as an AI research intern at NNAISENSE in Lugano. My primary research interests are computer vision, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
In September, I will join Robotics and State Estimation (RSE) Lab as a PhD student at the University of Washington. I will work with Dieter Fox on improving robotic perception systems. My work will focus on human pose estimation and tracking that helps a robot to learn and interact with people and the environment.
Before joining NNAISENSE, I was a research intern in Holoportation team at Microsoft Research, Redmond. I graduated with my Master degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington in 2017 summer, where I was one member in Information Processing Lab (IPL) directed by Jeng-Neng Hwang. I was also a research intern supervised by Imari Sato at National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Tokyo from 2015 to 2016. I finished my Bachelor degree from Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University in 2014 where I did research in optics and laser technology.
